The Bancroft Garden Sculpture Show

The Bancroft Garden sculpture show has been more successful every year for the past ten years. For the last 3 years, it is an exclusive Pac Rim show, so long as we organize it for the all-volunteer garden foundation. In return, sculptors donate 30% of all sales to the garden. This June 17-19, there were $16,734 in sculpture sales, distributed between 13 sculptors. 38 pieces sold. The average sale was $440, and one sculptor, who does this show every year, sold 14 pieces. The highest price work to sell was $1500, and there were 5 sales over $1000. Huge kudos to Pac Rim’s David Mudgett, the one-man organizer, fund raiser, design director, promote, curator, set-upper, take- downer, sculptor’s advocate, liaison to the gardeners, chief helper and head coach of this event!
